Do it for the 'gram? Nah!

Since the day I got a camera phone, I was hooked on to clicking pictures. With better camera phones and photo sharing
apps like Instagram, I shared more pictures. But, lately, Instagram doesn't feel like a place to share photos anymore. It feels more
like an app to create dance and entertainment videos and reach more dopamine addicted users. This page is my reaction to the
disappointment Instagram has become. I love clicking pictures and sharing them, and finally, I have a place for them here.

Munich was the cleanest city I've visted so far in Europe. People respect the infrastructure. Things run on time. Locals don't litter. 10/10 on maintaining the city.

Billy Brunch shot
If you’re in Madrid or Barcelona in Spain, BillyBrunch is the place to get your daily breakfast/brunch in. The food, the ambiance, and the staff, everything felt perfect whenever I went - which was almost every morning right after my standup call. I’d just sit there for hours, get some sun and get some work done. Highly recommended!!

Quarterly Quarters
Taken during Harbor's first quarterly team retreat where the idea was to leave work behind and get to know our team mates better - so we exchanged business suits for swimsuits at this lush Goa bungalow!
Shining bright like an orange
Based on my usage, my footwear gets dirty every 3-4 months and I make sure to spend a weekend washing them. Why I do this? I believe, if you take care of your belongings, they'll take care of you longer + there are other benefits of cleaning your footwear too.

Working remotely since 2017
During my college days, I read this book called The 4 Hour-work Week and became fascinated by the nomad/remote culture the book touched upon. After 4 years of working in traditional in-office startups, I chanced upon a fully remote company and immediately took the plunge in 2017. Going remote has been life-changing as it has allowed me to work the way I want and from where I want. Even my current full-time job at Harbor is fully remote which allowed me to travel and work from Italy for 3+ weeks.
Sunsetting the iMac ❤️
This was my first home computer purchase for myself back in 2019. On this iMac, I've designed countless user interfaces, watched movies/TV series, played games, and all the other home computer stuff. But been using the new M1 Max Macbooks for office and personal work and the silicon chips by Apple outperform the intel chip on this iMac model. Now when I sit and work on this machine, it's a game of patience which is not a good place to be if you're trying to ship stuff fast. Hence, decided to sell this iMac and get a new Mac Mini with M2 chip and combine it with a Studio Display. But even though I'll move on to a new machine, I'll never forget all the fun and countless nights I've spent with this machine. Thank you, iMac!

Perks of remote work
Toured Italy for 2 weeks and been working from Positano for about a week. If your employer requires you to be location dependent and call themselves remote, it's not truly a remote company. Try changing jobs and working with someone who doesn't care where you live or travel as long as work gets done. It'll open a sea of opportunities for you to travel and see the world while you do meaningful work in this digital age.

Gold in the details
Random shot of one of the temple roofs in The Grand Palace, Bangkok. One thing I've noticed in most monuments outside India is that they are very well preserved and maintained. Most of these monuments have great detail in them. And if you're not maintaining them well, you're losing their true value.
Minimal center stage
Been following minimalism wherever I can since 2010. Rocking this simple TV unit for 2 years now. Wire managed beautifully behind it. TV unit is from an Indian brand called UrbanLadder.
Wet cabby

Lighting in the shadows
Random shot of the street light, covered with leaves.
Weekend vibes
Out of 2 days on any given weekend, I just love sitting on my couch with my laptop and just browsing the internet. There's no agenda for these browsing sessions and I just let my mood decide what I want to see/do on the internet. And doing this is healthy for the mind IMO given all the hectic weeks we spend at work. Our minds are always busy with a schedule. It's good to let it wander.

Hello beautiful!
One of the best examples of how Apple can make any device look gorgeous. The display is the same as LG's UltraFine 5k Display but the new minimalistic design, all-aluminum chassis, 6-way spatial audio speakers, and the height adjustable mechanism are the little details that sets this display apart from the rest.
New machine
Till now, I never owned a MacBook Pro personally. I've always used my previous company's MacBook as a personal when they didn't take it back. Got the new M1 max chip 16-inch MacBook Pro from my new company and loved it so much that I pulled the trigger for a personal buy - same configuration. I have a 27-inch iMac (Intel chip) for my personal use but the M1 chips are so snappy, you can feel the difference when running 8 different apps in the background.
Side car
The reason I bought the Jeep Compass over other SUV options was only the side profile i.e. a very bold & muscular stance.
Dark mirror
Liked this simple sink / mirror setup in one of the hotels I stayed in. Have seen a lot of washrooms (ha!) but I could sense a minimalistic black and white shot here.
Colorful minimalism?
Random flower vase in a hotel I stayed. Could sense a minimalistic shot here. Edited the flower reflection on the mirror out.
Self-portrait #1
Taken on the terrace of my AirBnB in Lisbon (also called Lisboa). It was a nice sunny morning and realized I don't have a lot of self-portraits from my Lisbon trip, so placed my Pixel phone on a chair and snapped this on a timer.
Mini bread & butter
I usually do all my designing, coding, and other daily tasks either on my iMac or the MacBook Pro. But I heavily use my iPad Pro & Mini to read articles, write my blog posts, & review/edit photos. The compact size of these devices combined with the power of Apple's ecosystem has been quite fun & delightful to use.
Details worth capturing
Got this new webcam called Opal Camera this week. The details & auto-brightness/contrast/saturation on this thing are just mind-blowing. But it does get hot while using. If you're a tech nerd and want to upgrade your webcam situation, do check out this camera. It's pricy, mind you.

Airport architecture has always fascinated me. Every international airport is different than the other and has its own personality. This one's a cropped photo of Bangalore's international airport roof.

Saw this photo frame of this beautiful car in one of the WeWork offices in Bangalore.
Letters on grass
I love taking my kindle downstairs of my apartment, into the lawn. It gets very soothing sunlight during winters. Nothing beats the feeling of bathing in the sun and reading a book or doing just what you like.

Celebrating 1 year with this!
I've always been interested in cars. I started drawing cars when I was in school. It was the sole reason I took automotive engineering as a major in college. But the way it was taught in college, I lost interest in theories, but my love for automotive design remained. We got this car last year and celebrating a year with it. This Jeep Compass has been and always will be a constant reminder of my love for automotive design.

This shot wasn't planned. While driving to our resort, I looked up and immediately identified this minimal frame. Shot quickly on .5x from my iPhone.
Cornerstone
Took on a narrow corridor that led to a kitchen in the palace. One theme about old architecture that I always love is that the narrow & dark paths lead to a brighter place.
Sun is yellow
Have always found sunlight an amazing source of light that changes pictures dramatically. How your pictures look when it's 7 AM vs. how they look when the sun is right on top of us are completely different and can sometimes make a world of a difference in your photos. Use sunlight to your benefit.

I've always found the airplane's fin shot a classic. No matter when and where you take it, it always looks great.

On my way to breakfast, spotted this castle getting repaired - resembled the scene from Mission Impossible 3.
